Waterview Learning Academy is a private school in Wilmington, NC. Founder and Director, Heather Fahenstock established the school to give parents and students alike an alternative to conventional schools. As the owner, she has taught for over 15 years in public and private schools. Additionally, she is an independent contractor for the state to create English EOG questions as well as evaluate test questions in reading and math. Director Fahenstock has had extensive training in Common Core Standards as well as SAT prep. Most importantly, she believes students no longer fit a mold of any sort and neither should their education. Along with degrees in Education, she has also obtained certification in Computational Neuroscience. For Director Fahenstock, mental health in students is just as important as their education.
