Our School

Waterview Learning Academy, located in Wilmington, North Carolina, was established to give parents and students alike an alternative to the conventional school, while ensuring that the standards to which are taught align with the State educational requirements to prepare the students for college and beyond. We believe in fostering students with the ability to discover and take control of their own learning, no matter what style helps them achieve this best. Students no longer fit a “mold” of any sort and neither should their education.

There are many different types of students out there. Maybe your child is active in semi-professional sports and a classroom is not always feasible. On the other hand, your child has decided to juggle both work and school and needs some flexibility. There are also students who testing is not their forte and end of grade tests don’t reflect their true abilities. That is where Waterview steps in. We offer a wide variety of non-conventional education strategies to help your child succeed. From on-line high school classes for those on the go; to technology and research based strategies to help foster growth; as well as tutoring during the summer and after school. There is a type of program to fit your need.

Online courses for flexible attendance needs
After school tutoring
- Begins at 2pm, after our traditional school day is over. Open to any students who are in need. There is a discount for those that schedule 6 sessions or more at a time.
Dual enrollment including Early College Classes
- We help foster a love for learning beyond high school. Whether it is Cape Fear Community College, UNCW or another program, we help guide the students in finding their pathway and the courses they need to take. This is a great opportunity for them to explore career options and not be additional tuition out of pocket.
